Snatch & Jerk Cue - Lock Out When Feet Hit
“Lock out at the same time the feet hit” is a common cue, and one I like and use regularly.
It can also be applied to the clean—securing the final rack position by the time the feet land.
The purpose is to encourage a faster, more aggressive turnover and lockout in the snatch and clean, and punch in the jerk.
Just remember this is a cue, not a description—the feet will land before the lockout or final rack position.
But it should look, feel and sound in real time that the two things are happening simultaneously, and the effort to try to make it happen is the point.
